Volunteer Opportunities

Sydney Jewish Museum volunteers are a committed, dedicated and conscientious group whose experience, energy and enthusiasm are primary factors in providing thousands of visitors with the information, direction and personal contact necessary to ensure a rewarding visit to the Museum.
Volunteers act as guides for casual visitors as well as school and adult groups. Many of the guides are survivors of the Holocaust whose personal experiences provide an invaluable dimension to the visitor experience. Volunteers also work at the admissions desk, in the Museum Shop and in the Resource Centre assisting the librarian. They are involved behind the scenes as assistants to the curator, education officers and in scheduling the guides' roster.
Currently, as the Museum membership is increasing, skilled volunteers are required in all areas of the Museum. For more information or to offer your assistance, please call the Museum to speak to the Volunteer Manager on 9360 7999.
