Hitler Youth Booklet
When Michael Sheridan passed through Rheine, Germany in 1945 with his company in the British Army, he picked up this booklet on the side of the road. It is an example of a Leistungsbuch (Performance Booklet) distributed to members of the Hitler-Jugend (Hitler Youth). The Leistungsbuch was used to track boys’ progress in athletics and Nazi indoctrination throughout their years in the Hitler Youth.
