Letter to Mrs. Jordan

This is the last letter Alois Seidl wrote before he and his wife were deported to a concentration camp, where they subsequently perished. It was sent from Vienna on 20 October 1941 to Mrs. Jordan, who worked in the Seidl household as a housekeeper. Alois thanks Mrs. Jordan for her loyalty to the family and wishes her own family well while they “have to obey the order of a higher power.”
