Moving Image and Sound Archive

On 7 March the Sydney Jewish Museum launched its Moving Image and Sound Archive.  Moving images are a fantastic source of 20th century Jewish history capturing events that have shaped our communal history – family and group celebrations, individuals who have represented Australia in politics, sport, culture and entertainment or ordinary daily life. It is also the aim of the archive to promote the production of material that reflects and captures the current Sydney Jewish community.

Our curatorial team is now searching for works that may be held in private film and video collections around Australia.  If you have material please contact Shannon Maguire or Susanne Haydon

Thank you to Aviva Ziegler and Peter Salole for creating the following video.
