Shanghai Jewish Chronicle from 3 March 1944

Single-page newspaper printed in German containing articles, advertisements and announcements. The Shanghai Jewish Chronicle originated in the Shanghai Ghetto in 1939 and was first printed weekly, then daily. The backside of this paper contains a birth notice for Neville Neugatter, whose parents were from Vienna. Under pressure from the police, the family were forced to leave China in 1946. They immigrated to Australia.
