Yad Torah Pointers

The yad is a Jewish ritual pointer used when reading from the Torah scrolls. It is intended to prevent anyone from touching the sacred parchment. Commonly made of silver, the yad is often shaped like a long rod with a small hand and index finger pointing from it.
