ELECTRONIC MEMORIAL

This installation is located on the top mezzanine level of the Holocaust. Faces and names of victims of the Holocaust, provided by relatives in Australia, rotate on a screen. It takes one hour for this memorial to display 240 names and faces. If all 6 million victims were to be recorded here, it would take 25,000 hours - nearly three years - to read all the names.

SANCTUM OF REMEMBRANCE

This memorial to the departed offers visitors the opportunity to pay their respects in a dignified and solemn environment. Many have chosen to honour the memory of loved ones lost by endowing plaques within the Sanctum.

THE CHILDREN'S MEMORIAL

A Memorial which commemorates the lives of one and a half million children who perished during the Holocaust. It focuses on children related to Australian survivors. Included in the memorial space is a sculpture of children’s shoes by Israeli sculptress Elza Pollak. Entitled "All That Remained", it is a loving tribute to those who left no trace.

WAR MEMORIAL FORECOURT

The black marble forecourt of the NSW Jewish War Memorial serves as the entry to the Sydney Jewish Museum. Its walls are inscribed with the names of nearly 3,000 Jewish service people, including 177 who gave their lives in the service of Australia in the two world wars.
